Bio-based Industries Consortium 10th anniversary

This week, the Bio-based Industries Consortium (BIC) marked its 10th anniversary!

The Bio-based Industries Consortium (BIC) is a non-profit organization that represents the private sector in a Public-Private Partnership (PPP) with the European Commission. Its primary goal is to strengthen the bio-based industries sector in Europe. Initially known as the Bio-based Europe Joint Undertaking (BBI JU) and now as the Circular Bio-based Europe Joint Undertaking (CBE JU), these partnerships have a substantial budget of €5.7 billion.

BIC’s mission is to connect industry, academia, regions, and citizens to transform bio-based feedstocks into novel sustainable products and applications. The aim is to create circular bioeconomy ecosystems through investments, innovation, and knowledge-sharing.

At MixMatters, we take great pride in being part of this significant milestone. We eagerly anticipate the future of the European bioeconomy and the remarkable breakthroughs on innovation, circularity, and sustainability that will be achieved.

The project is supported by the Circular Bio-based Europe Joint Undertaking (CBE JU) and its members – Bio-based Industries Consortium (BIC).
