Policies and Technical Challenges Workshop

Last week, MixMatters achieved a significant milestone by hosting its inaugural workshop in Namur, where participants delved into policy and technical challenges crucial for advancing sustainable practices. Over two intensive days, attendees engaged in super interesting presentations and insightful discussions, fostering a collaborative environment aimed at addressing key issues in the agri-food and environmental sectors.

The workshop’s success was attributed to the active participation and contributions of attendees, with special thanks extended to the incredible speakers who provided invaluable insights from various perspectives. Notable speakers included MixMatters project coordinator Nicolas Issaly from AINIA, MixMatters partners Catherine Malingreau & Julie Grosjean from Wagralim, Paloma Aldeguer from Recycleye, Philippe Decornet from DIGPD SPW, Silvia Maltagliati from the Policy Office EU DG Research and Innovation, Julien Denis & Annaëlle Postiaux from the University of Liège focusing on Biomass & Green Technologies, and Gilles Crahay from PolyPea. The workshop was not only a platform for learning but also a testament to MixMatters’ commitment to fostering collaboration and driving sustainable innovation forward.

The project is supported by the Circular Bio-based Europe Joint Undertaking (CBE JU) and its members – Bio-based Industries Consortium (BIC).
